Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using GurbaniGPT ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License Agreement

Your use of GurbaniGPT is governed by the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Please review Apple's EULA carefully as it contains important provisions regarding your rights and obligations when using apps distributed through the Apple App Store.

3. Subscription Terms

Subscription Price: GurbaniGPT offers a monthly subscription at $0.99 USD per month.

Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing Subscriptions: You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. Subscriptions may be managed by the user.

4. Cancellation Policy

How to Cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Select GurbaniGPT
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Cancellation Terms: When you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to subscription features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period.

Refunds: All sales are final and handled by Apple. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you may request one through Apple by visiting reportaproblem.apple.com. Refund eligibility is determined solely by Apple in accordance with their policies.

GurbaniGPT provides AI-powered assistance for exploring Sikh teachings and Gurbani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The App includes:

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Karanbir Toor and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Gurbani text from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is sacred scripture and is used respectfully for educational purposes.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

No Guarantee of Accuracy: GurbaniGPT uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI's GPT models) to generate responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or misinterpretations.

Not Professional Advice: The App does not provide professional, medical, legal, or authoritative spiritual advice. Responses are for educational and informational purposes only.

Verification Required: For spiritual guidance and authentic interpretation of Gurbani, always consult Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji directly or seek guidance from your local Gurdwara and learned scholars.

9. Limitation of Liability

Use at Your Own Risk: You acknowledge that your use of GurbaniGPT is at your sole risk. The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

No Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karanbir Toor (the developer) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Karanbir Toor from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Changes to Subscription Pricing

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. If we increase the price, we will notify you in advance, and the new price will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period. You may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect if you do not agree to the price change.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason in our sole discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your data.
