GurbaniGPT is powered by OpenAI’s API and enhanced with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system to provide authentic Gurbani text along with transliteration and English translations. The content is based on publicly available sources for educational purposes.
The app works best when you ask general questions about Sikhism and request specific Angs. For example, you can type “Ang 843” to read the full Ang. This approach helps you gain context from Gurbani itself while understanding how it relates to your question.
Translating sacred text is complex, so for any spiritual guidance, we strongly recommend consulting the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji or your local Gurdwara.
